Community Programs and Outreach Coordinator

Job Description

Develop partnerships with Community Stakeholders
Collaborate with Tribal Partners to Develop Memorandums of Understanding
Facilitate Peer Support programming within our Catchment Area
Maintain a Regular Caseload of Counseling Services provided to SMI or SED clients
Coordinate Emergent and Crisis Behavioral Health Services
Lead the CCBHC Certification Process by Following the CCBHC Guidelines set forth by the State of South Dakota

Qualifications

Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain proof of automobile insurance, and successfully meet agency requirements for approved driver status as a condition of employment prior to the first day of work.
Must successfully complete all agency background checks, which include checks for criminal convictions, behavior harmful towards children, spousal abuse, and drug or sex crimes.
Able to participate in 24-hour Mental Health On-Call Rotation;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across facility programs and with external agencies;
Ability to work independently;
South Dakota State Board Certification or Working Towards Certification within next year.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Culturally Competent Care, with Special Regard to Tribal Community Members
Experience Managing Grant Spending and Reporting to the State
Experience Supervising Providers to Ensure Meeting Client Needs

Education

Master's Degree (LPC/LMHC) or equivalent education within a Behavioral Health Field, or are currently enrolled in a Master's program in Social Work or Behavioral Health Field
